On Saturday, May 17, 2025, I’ll be lacing up my running shoes and hitting the pavement for the AAPI Boston 5K Run—but I’m not just running for fitness. I’m running with purpose: to raise funds and awareness for ASPIRE (Asian Sisters Participating in Reaching Excellence), a nonprofit that empowers AAPI women and girls through mentorship, leadership development, and community-building.

This organization is especially close to my heart. My daughter participated in ASPIRE’s Youth Leadership Program, a transformative six-month experience that connected her with inspiring Asian American women mentors and peers from across the country. It was incredible to witness her confidence grow and see her step more fully into her identity and leadership potential.

I also had the privilege of attending ASPIRE’s Boston-area conference, where I met a powerful network of AAPI women doing meaningful work across fields. It reminded me how vital it is to have spaces where our stories, voices, and cultural experiences are not just represented—but celebrated.

This AAPI Heritage Month, I invite you to support ASPIRE alongside me. Your donation—no matter the size—helps ensure that future generations of AAPI girls have access to the support, visibility, and resources they deserve.
