Celebrating Asian American Voices Through Art This May at Galaray House

This May, I’m honored to be curating a special exhibition at Galaray House in celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month.

The show brings together five contemporary Asian American women artists—including my own work—whose paintings and drawings explore identity, storytelling, emotion, and the shared human experience. Each artist brings a unique voice and perspective, creating a vibrant and meaningful exhibition filled with depth, beauty, and energy.

We will celebrate the opening with a First Friday reception on Friday, May 1, 2026 from 6:00–8:00 PM, and I would love for you to join us.

Why This Exhibition Matters

Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month is an important time to recognize the many voices, histories, and contributions that shape our communities and culture. Art has a powerful way of helping us connect across experiences, celebrate individuality, and see the world through new eyes.

Curating this exhibition has been especially meaningful to me as an artist. Bringing together this talented group of women has reminded me how rich and diverse contemporary Asian American art truly is.

When I look at the work in this show, I feel:

Joy

Curiosity

Strength

Reflection

Connection

That is the kind of energy I hope visitors experience when they walk into the gallery.
