Take an afternoon for yourself and spend two creative hours painting, experimenting, and making something completely your own.
Join artist and educator Christina Chang for an intimate summer afternoon of expressive painting inspired by color, energy, movement, and the beauty of the season.
We’ll begin with quick, intuitive exercises to loosen up and explore color, shape, line, and composition. Then Christina will guide you through creating your own expressive painting using layers, bold marks, and beautiful color combinations.
This workshop isn’t about making something “perfect.” It’s about trusting your instincts, trying something new, and experiencing the joy of making art.
You’ll explore:
-Expressive color and mark-making
-Creating movement and energy in a painting
-Building a composition through layers
-Letting go of perfectionism
-Developing a painting that feels uniquely yours
Christina will share techniques from her own studio practice and provide individual guidance throughout the afternoon.
You’ll leave with your own finished artwork, new techniques to continue exploring at home, and two hours devoted entirely to creativity.
No previous painting experience is necessary. Beginners are welcome, and experienced artists can use the workshop as an opportunity to loosen up and experiment.
$75 per person — all materials included.
Space is intentionally limited to just 6 participants, so advance registration is required.
